Creating a new VoiceThread
This tutorial will show you how to create a new VoiceThread with media uploads.
1. Start a new VoiceThread
Type humboldt.voicethread.com or open this URL into your browser, then click Enter.

If you are already logged in to myHumboldt, then you will automatically be logged in to VoiceThread
Click Create.

2. Add content
This will be in the form of media files which can include: PDF, PowerPoint, Audio Recording, Webcam photos, Webcam videos, images, etc.

Type a title for your VoiceThread, then click Save.

3. Add a comment
Click Comment.

Then, click on the + comment button located on the bottom of the VoiceThread

4. Choose the type of comment
The numbers in this picture correspond with the type of comments listed below. Please click on the types of comments to see how to leave that type of comment.

- Click ABC
- Type your comment
- Click Save
- Click the telephone icon
- Enter your 10-diget phone number (Numbers only! No spaces or dashes)
- Click Call me
- When your phone rings, answer it and record your comment after the beep
- Hang up to save your comment
- Click the microphone icon
- Click Allow on the Flash Player permissions box
- After the countdown, begin recording your audio comment
- Click Stop Recording when you are finished recording your comment
- Click Save if you are satisfied with your audio, or click Cancel to record a new audio
- Click the video icon
- Click Allow on the Flash Player permissions box
- After the countdown, begin recording your video comment
- Click Stop Recording when you are finished recording your comment
- Click Save if you are satisfied with your audio, or click Cancel to record a new video
- Click the upload icon
- Browse for the video or audio file you wish to upload, select it, and click Enter
- Wait for your file to upload, then click OK
5. When finished, exit the VoiceThread and share
Click X

Click Share

Choose the Class you would like to share this VoiceThread with.
